Option 1: The main social insurance programs like Social Security, Medicare, and unemployment compensation are funded by a payroll tax on the earnings of individuals who may receive benefits. Do you think the social insurance programs are effective? How are social insurance programs affected by the socioeconomic and political forces? Explain your answers.

Option 2: Research government regulations on a particular area of your choice, such as food, drugs, product safety, fracking, environment, etc. Do you think the government regulations go too far? Do you think the government needs to add more regulations? How are lobbyists involved concerning regulations on food and drug safety, and our environment concerning fracking? Explain your answers.

You are the Corporate Director for Universal Medical Supplies, Inc. You have been asked to present at an upcoming business leadership conference. The presentation will cover Critical Thinking for Challenges in Communication in the Workplace, related to specific topics. The intended audience is business leaders in many different industries.

Instructions

Choose an element of or an issue related to
one of the following specific workplace challenges: Conflict Resolution, Diversity Awareness, or Gender Issues. Create a slideshow presentation that includes concepts of critical thinking related to your chosen topic and include industry examples. Audio narration/voiceover must be incorporated that fully explains your ideas.

Your presentation should include:

· An introductory slide.

· Minimum of 2 slides on critical thinking skills in reading, listening, and writing, related to your chosen topic.

· Minimum of 2 slides on valid and invalid arguments, including cogent reasoning, related to your chosen topic.

· Minimum of 2 slides on inductive and deductive reasoning, related to your chosen topic.

Subjective

Danny Rivera is an 8 years old boy presenting with a wet cough. He reports that the cough has lasted three days. He describes the cough as wet and gurly.

Objective

The cough is temporarily treated by the children’s cough medicine his mother gave him. He reports that the cough is not aggravated by activity. He reports the cough gets worse at night, which keep him up at night. He reports tenderness of his throat. He reports a history of frequent rhinorrhea and cough. Risk factor includes second-hand smoke from father, history of pneumonia in the past year, and being overwiegt for his age.

Assessment

He has no acute respiratory distress, his lungs are clear to auscultation and is afebrile, He has current rhinorrhea, examination of the nose reveals boggy turbinate. His throat appears red with visible cobblestoning in the back. His respiratory rate is inscreased, and he present mild tachycardia.

Plan

I recomende calling his grandmother to pick him up from school. He should see his primary care provider within the next few days for an evaluation and tests to rule out asthma and allergies. In the meantime, he should be allowed to rest and should be given cough medicine as needed.

1. A reference to the project’s benefits in terms of cost, time, and/or quality that address needs or
changes, results, impacts, or consequences that the project has on people, programs, or institutions.

2. Goals and objectives that are measurable, shared, and hypothetically agreed on by all key stakeholders.

3. What variables need to be considered and and whether or not you have control over them.
