Walker and Avant’s 8-step method is widely used in nursing to systematically analyze concepts by selecting a concept, determining its purpose, identifying all its uses, defining its attributes, constructing model and additional cases, identifying antecedents and consequences, and establishing empirical referents (Walker & Avant, 2011). This structured approach allows for a comprehensive exploration of complex nursing phenomena, such as caring, resilience, patient-centered care, and health disparities, which are critical to improving nursing practice and healthcare policy development.

The implications of concept analysis in nursing practice are significant because it provides clarity and structure to abstract healthcare concepts that influence clinical decision-making.
